Help - Alert
An Alert is a message that is sent by SPLASH based on the Conditions set for that Alert. The Conditions are checked at an interval set when the Alert is configured. This setting is labelled "Check the conditions every" with a dropdown box to choose the interval. You can also set the maximum number of Alerts that should be sent in one day. This setting is labelled "Send Alert messages no more than" with a dropdown box to choose the maximum number.
Alerts are Comprised of Conditions. The Alert will only be sent if ALL Required Conditions are met, OR if ANY Non-required Conditions are met. Here are some examples:
We have 3 Conditions, x,y, and z. x is Required, y and z are not.
If x is met, the Alert will be sent regardless of y and z.
If x is not met, either y or z being met will send the Alert.
We have 2 conditions, x,y. Both are Required.
x and y must both be met in order to send the Alert.
We have 4 conditions, w,x,y, and z. W and X are required.
If w and x are both met, the Alert will be sent regardless of y and z.
If either w or x are not met, either y or z being met will send the Alert.
